The Hard Truth
I grew up near Corning, NY on Buckwheat Hollow Rd. Raised on the kind of music that hits different when you've got nothing but time, sky, and a hollow that teaches you early what hard looks like. I didn't pick music. Music picked me. I could hear it — melodies, lyrics, the way a line should land — long before I had any way to get it out of my head.
I'm not going to pretend I'm a polished recording artist. I don't have a band. I don't have a record deal. What I have is 70-plus original songs built from scratch, from the gut, from real life — and the absolute conviction that the best ones belong on a stage, sung by the right voice, in front of people who need to hear them.
Every song I put out is a test. Not a vanity project, not a bid for Spotify fame. When a song gets saved 234 times in 28 days — like The Poor Survive did — that tells me something real. When a track lands in 340 listener playlists across 43 countries without a dollar of promotion, that's signal, not noise. I use that data to write better songs. That's the whole process.
Here's the truth nobody wants to say out loud: I'm not a singer. I use autotune on my voice because without it, the song doesn't get heard. I use technology to add the music because I have no band. No label. No budget. No one yet who believes in it the way I do. What I have is the song — and a stubborn refusal to let it die in my head because I can't afford a studio full of session players.
Think of it like building a house with no money and no crew. You still need a hammer, wood, nails — and a dream that won't quit. The tools aren't the house. The song is the house. Everything else is just how I get the frame up until the right people show up to help finish it right.
